 ­Field Sales Position:

The Fire and Life Safety Sales Representative can be based out of a home office in the state of Washington, Oregon or Idaho. As part of a $20B company that provides the mass notification (MNS) voice evacuation systems, our client provides decades of experience and innovation. With advanced technological solutions, the company helps their clients respond to threats by delivering the right message to the right people at the right time through voice evacuation systems and notification appliances. The Fire and Life Safety Sales Representative is responsible for managing existing customers while focusing on developing and closing new business opportunities within key sophisticated vertical markets.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Implement short, medium and long-term strategic and tactical plans that promote the outdoor voice, interoperable emergency notification and integrated platform solutions
  • Aggressively manage and track business opportunity pipeline (e.g., private and public entities aligned with government/defense, transportation, petrochemical, higher education and miscellaneous sectors.)
  • Utilize consultative style to evaluate the prospective customer’s existing MNS and Fire systems, processes and potential gaps.
  •  Identify solutions that incorporate the appropriate product line/technology. Develop solution strategies to sell appropriate, comprehensive mass notification systems (MNS) and Fire notification solutions to top level decision makers, as well as project consultants, contractors, architects and engineers, code enforcement officials, and other end-users.
  • Work collaboratively through a network of OEM, SED’s, ESD’s and ISD’s dealers in multiple vertical markets to meet target sales goals.
  • Articulates compelling value propositions to targeted decision­makers based on understanding the technical and financial benefits of solutions.
  • Develops new relationships that will impact growth within targeted areas.
  • Achieves preferred specification status for Life Safety and MNS solutions within targeted end-user projects. Solicits and develops new integrator / dealer partners within established channel programs. Leverages internal and external selling networks to develop “One” offerings and proposals spanning multiple products and services to targeted customers and markets.
  • Achieves budgeted sales and pipeline development / closure goals within assigned markets. Proactively reviews targeted growth goals vs. results.
  • Capably manages pipeline development process to ensure target sales goals are attained.
  • Utilizes demonstrated business development, technical and sales competencies to successfully interact and navigate through the complete sales cycle process. Utilizes standard sales tools, including CRM, to manage work plan.
  • Supports other business development initiatives as needed.
  • Promotes the company’s mission and vision by actively supporting ethics and values as well as quality policies.
 Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited institution
  • 1 year outside sales experience
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Candidates must reside within Washington, Oregon or Idaho to be considered for this role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3 years' outside sales experience in Electrical Engineering
  • Fire and Life Safety Systems sales experience preferred
  • Administrative and computer skills (CRM, C360, excel, word, outlook, power point, etc.)
  • Commercial selling experience, distribution selling experience, end user selling experience, and architect and engineering project specification experience
  • Proven track record/portfolio within commercial sales technical sales role experience ­ possess a general sense of systems, software, WIFI, connectivity
