Our client is looking for a Production Manager to join their team. The company is profitable, stable, and rapidly expanding in 2018. The Production  Manager will be responsible for leading an engineering and operational team of employees. Responsibilities involve planning, developing, organizing and directing all operations in accordance with company procedures and policies, standards, regulations and guidelines. This position is in charge of the safe maintenance of the facility. The main areas of responsibility are process engineering, production, quality, logistics, HR, safety and security.

 Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to ensure all work is performed in a safe, efficient manner and is in compliance w/ Company policy
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Personnel performing work affecting product quality shall be competent on the basis of ongoing training, appropriate educations, skills and expertise
  • Oversee department heads in dispatch, manufacturing, trucking, facilities management, vehicle repair, quality control
  • Managing environmental issues regarding NPDES and DEP compliance
  • Oversee safety committee and assuring OSHA compliance
  • Work closely with the marketing department and truck stop management to ensure best marketing strategies
  • Manage all safety, health and environmental processes by conducting morning safety meetings, leading by example, and reporting/sending all necessary paperwork for injuries and accidents to management
  • Perform any other duties required by the Director of Manufacturing to keep in line with changes in the scope of work

Education and Experience:

  • BS Degree and an advanced degree is highly preferred - Engineering 
  • Over 15 years of experience as a production manager in a high volume paper products plant
  • Over 15 years of experience in paper products manufacturing
  • Ability to travel to multi-site locations
  • Experience developing new business plans and implement new strategies
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar capital budgets
  • Very stable job history & progressive track record of success is mandatory
  • Excellent communication, leadership skills, and cross-functional experience is required
  • Proven track record of promoting candidates into management level jobs
