Our client seeks to hire a talented Mortgage Sales Manager for their Nashville, TN location.

Job Objectives
The Mortgage Sales Manager (MSM) is responsible for ensuring that the Loan Production Office (LPO) achieves all of their goals. This includes profit, loan production, loan growth, maintaining staffing levels, influencing and directing the sales production levels and goals of the Mortgage Loan Originators (MLO). The MSM is also responsible for building and managing a team of up to six MLO’s with the assistance of bank resources. This person will also be expected to originate mortgage loans to meet LPO goals while the team is being established.
·         Responsible for recruiting and training a team of up to six (6) MLO’s with the assistance of bank resources.
·         Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales production and growth goals.
·         Develop, communicate, and implement the bank’s growth plan and strategies amongst all associates in the LPO.
·         Attend and participate in all mortgage meetings and training as management requires.
·         Know compliance responsibilities and particular requirements affecting your area(s) of responsibility and incorporate these requirements into your business processes and procedures.
·         Perform periodic self-assessments including corrective action as needed and assure appropriate training to associates regarding those responsibilities and procedures.
·         Manage and oversee the pipeline for your team of MLO’s
·         Maintain existing and develop new referral contacts for first mortgage loans (this includes realtors, builders, professional and personal contacts).
·         Performs all other duties and projects assigned willingly.
·         Travel between banking facilities and client locations.
·         Stay on top of new developments, best practices, and statutory and regulatory changes.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience - required
  • Minimum of five (5) years mortgage banking experience - required
  • Three (3) years previous management experience – required
  • NMLS registration – required
  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated strong selling techniques
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and have a proven track record for motivating a sales team
  • Requires a high-energy level and strong sense of urgency
  • Occasional out of town travel is required
  • Flexible work schedule to allow for both inside and outside the company activities that will include some evening and weekend work
