Job Description:
This is an exciting Director of Human Resources opportunity for a high energy and bright individual who is looking for a good career opportunity. This is a Director of Human Resources position with a strong focus in dealing with all aspects related to Talent Acquisition / Recruiting and HR Administration and Benefit Administration. This HR Director must be hands on and be self-reliant as they will manage all HR functions. Prefer experience in all aspects of Human Resources Management within smaller / medium size service and /or manufacturing type companies that are privately held in the 100-200 employee range.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conducts all Talent Acquisition strategies for all employment levels including senior management
  • Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company personnel.
  • Develops, recommends and implements personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains handbook on policies and procedures; performs benefits administration, change reporting and annual re-evaluation of policies for cost-effectiveness
  • Develops staffing strategies and implements programs and plans
  • Oversees company wide onboarding and orientation policies and compliance
  • Manages the company 401(k) program, including the coordination of employee investment committee and direct liaison with 3rd party management company
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt workers; writes and places advertisements; works with supervisors to screen and interview candidates; conducts reference checking; extends job offers; conducts new-employee orientations; monitors career-path program and employee relations counseling; conducts exit interviews
  • BS Degree in Human Resources/Business or related field
  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential
  • 8 to 10 years experience of combination of Talent Acquisition / Recruiting Management and Human Resources Management responsibilities
  • Experience in Human Resources Management within smaller to medium size private companies being the sole HR professional with a large focus being Recruiting and Talent Acquisition of all levels including senior level management, experience developing staffing strategies, implementing programs and benefit administration
  • Multi state HR experience
  • Experience in Human Resources Management within smaller privately held companies in the 100-200 employee range reporting to CEO / President - etc
  • Must have hands on HR experience with positive approach and outgoing attitude
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, business mined and driven
  • Due diligence and business acquisition experience
  • Open to travel requirements
